For leafy greens to germinate, they prefer soil temperatures of 50 to 75 degrees, and well-drained soil. Plant at a 1/2” seed depth with 2-3” spacing. Avoid over-watering, and ensure adequate plant spacing to reduce pest and disease issues.
For whole plants- Sow 1-2" apart, thin to 4-6" apart. For baby greens- sow heavy seeded rows, 30-40 seeds per foot. Harvest: Start cutting leaves at 3-4". Tips: Plant in fertile, well drained soil. Work in compost or well rotted manure into your soil before planting if needed. Provide adequate, even moisture for the best growth.

Aug 23, 2011 · Popular fall hunting plot forages in my area are standing soybeans, standing corn, brassicas, turnips, or cereal grains. This year I’ll be planting three different forages. A brassica mix called Winter Greens, a new turnip blend called Tall Tine Turnips and Imperial Whitetail No-Plow. All from Whitetail Institute.
